House System

Every child is placed in a House as soon as he or she starts their journey at Oak Tree. Houses are essential in creating community spirit and give the children an opportunity to contribute to something bigger that involves children from all year groups.  We reinforce our school value of giving back by supporting the children to raise money for the three House charities chosen annually.   The House system also entails some friendly rivalry as the children compete to gain points for behaviour, effort and good deeds.

Our Houses are Salahudeen Ayubi, Dhul Karnain and Umar Farook.  Each House is represented by their House Captains (voted in annually) and supported by a member of staff who acts as House Leader.

Every week, the House points are counted by our House Captains and a weekly winner announced during Assembly. House points are then tallied over the course of a term, a winner is announced, and the children in that House are rewarded. At the end of the year, once all House points are tallied, the House Champions are announced.

The Gardens of Jannah Trust federation of schools all operate the same House System so that there are more opportunities for the children to interact and cooperate when inter-school events are held.
