We are an Islamic Science school for ages 3 to 11 that fosters curiosity and creativity in a nurturing Islamic environment.

About Oak Tree Primary School

Oak Tree Primary School is situated in a listed building, nestled within a leafy green pocket of South-West London, opposite Mitcham Cricket Green.

Our school differs from the traditional Islamic schools where Islamic studies and Quran are taught separately to the National Curriculum subjects.

Our vision is to develop a Muslim generation capable of analytical and critical thinking who will strive to fulfil their role positively and proudly in a multicultural Britain.   We seek to achieve this by offering a curriculum where Islamic teachings are fully integrated with the National Curriculum, by constructing our lesson plans such that an Islamic value or teaching is a theme within our lessons, whether it be English, Geography, History, Science or PHSE.  These Islamic values are then reinforced throughout school life, whether through school assemblies, themed days or weeks, or enrichment activities.  Our children are empowered to discover themselves through Islam, achieve wholeness, spirituality and develop social consciousness, naturally choosing to be proud Muslims who give back to society.

We are proud to be a part of the Gardens of Jannah Trust federation of schools who also follow the same pioneering curriculum.

“As Muslims living in the UK we are part of the fabric of society. Islamic schools are of key importance to help develop a sense of belonging and a confident Muslim identity in our children. It is fantastic to see Oak Tree Primary School providing a nurturing environment that fosters both academic and religious excellence.”
