Mental Health Ambassadors

At Oak Tree Mental Health Ambassadors are elected to promote positive discussions surrounding mental health.  They are elected by the school children representing years 1-6.

Mental Health Ambassadors are there to lead and promote the school’s wellbeing agenda. They drive the message forward and release the stigma around talking about challenging feelings and encourage pupils to talk if they need to.   Meetings take place once per month to discuss what the school can do to be more  aware of our mental health.

Calm Club

We have a ‘Calm Club‘ a peaceful, sensory space in the school where any child can visit at lunchtime if they want a bit of quiet.  The space has a few different activities to support wellbeing. The Mental Health Ambassadors take turns to assist being in the Calm Club and be there for any child who may need support.
